Peter Beilenson


Peter Beilenson, MD, MPH is the Howard County Health Officer. He also served as Baltimore City Health Commissioner from 1992-2005, where he focused his efforts on drug treatment expansion, childhood lead poisoning prevention, initiating a pioneering needle exchange program, contraceptive availability in the schools, child protective service reform and leading an effort for universal health coverage in Maryland.
