Michael Franklin
Michael Franklin is the program associate for the Community Fellowships and Initiatives Program at OSI-Baltimore. During his undergraduate career at the University of Delaware, he studied Psychology and English while fostering a passion for human rights activism. He became an integral member of the Department of Residence Life in designing a curriculum for students based on citizenship, diversity education, and action planning. Franklin currently serves as a board member on the Baltimore Chapter of the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which works to train and support students, teachers, administrators, and community members on anti-LGBT bias and anti-bullying policies in Baltimore City Public Schools, ensuring safe schools for all. He was named a local Black History Month hero by GLSEN’s National office in February 2011.
